A report published today by the Vegan Society has revealed that a quarter of Brits have reduced the amount of animal products they eat over the last twelve months. Changing Diets During the Covid-19 Pandemic shows that 20% of people have reduced how much meat they eat since last May, while 12% have cut back on eggs and dairy. 7% have cut back on all 3, meaning that 25% of people overall have reduced their intake of animal products in some form.
A second survey shows that of those who are cutting back, 35% are motivated by health, 30% by the environment and 21% because of animal welfare.
